Unit 10 - The misterious case of Marilyn Monroe
The misterious case of Marilyn Monroe
I am going to tell you about one of the most famous mysteries in show business. On August 5, 1962, movie actress Marilyn Monroe is found dead in her home in Los Angeles. She was discovered lying nude on her bed, face down, with a telephone in one hand. Empty bottles of pills, prescribed to treat her depression, were littered around the room. After a brief investigation, Los Angeles police concluded that her death was “caused by a self-administered overdose of sedative drugs and that the mode of death is probable suicide.”
However, her death has been a mystery, as several people think that it may not have happened exactly the way it was reported at the time. In adittion, Marilyn’s close friends were shocked when they heard the news about her death and insist that her death was unintentional.
"It must have been an accident," said Marilyn's good friend Pat Newcomb. "Marilyn was in perfect physical condition and was feeling great." wich makes us think that she couldn't have ended her life even if she suffered from depression as had been commented.
Then her fans began to create theories about her death. Some think that Robbert Kennedy may have wished her dead because it was suspected that the two had a relationship and Marilyn may have known his political secrets.
This theory became known because of what her psychiatrist said about her death. When the police asked him if he knew anything he said "Ask Robbert Kennedy". Also, Marilyn's maid changed her speech about her death many times in all the interviews she had. Because of that, many people think that she could have been involved in her "suicide" or maybe she could be the murderer.
Now we cannot speak clearly about the Marilyn's death and we don't know what happened, but hopefuly in the future we will be able to know if Kennedy had something to do with it or if Marilyn committed suicide because of depression.
Thanks for your post. I really liked it.

During a break, I reviewed the entire blog and I found it very nice, I liked the way you structured the information and I see that you invested time and effort in it. Your good work shows. I also had the opportunity to read two of your posts. My recommendation is that you should continue to do beautiful work like this and that you should not be afraid to speak up more.
I invite all to read the blog and leave your comments.
